Our summer, as usual, has been hot and busy. The month of July has been packed with activities. First, towards the beginning of this month, the youth went off to camp. They had a wonderful time. The preaching was convicting and many made decisions for the Lord. It was also a fun time of meeting other godly youth from churches across the State. Of course, they also enjoyed keeping cool with plenty of water games! Thank you so much for those of you who gave to make it possible for these kids to go to camp.
This month we were also pleased to have the youth group of Mountain Ave. Baptist Church come and visit us. They did a lot of work on in the orphanage, and helped us pass out over 700 tracts and John Romans in the local market. While they were here we also had a special water day for the kids in the church. They sure filled up a lot of water balloons! Having their group here was a real blessing for us.
Throughout last month and part of this month, we have been taking up special offerings to help other mission works in the area. The generosity of the people here is amazing. They really have very little to give, but they give with a joyful heart. Thanks to them, we were able to raise enough money to help a national pastor put a roof on the church he started in a village about an hour and a half from here. It was a real blessing to our hearts to see our church people concerned about helping others.
Most of all, we are rejoicing in the blessings of the Lord. He is so faithful and true. He has given us far more than we deserve, and we give all the praise back to Him. Brittany Fortner Apprenticeship Program Graduate
